One more large American Indian casino is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 sq.ft., 668 slots, and fourteen table games. Also, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is available 24 hours, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slot machines, 36 table games, and 4 eatery’s. There are several other popular Iowa gambling halls, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.
A tinier Iowa casino is the Diamond Jo, a river based gambling hall in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend river based, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slot machines, and 14 table games. An additional Iowa water based gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is open all day and night, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 slots, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. riverboat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live productions, and Thursday chemin de fer events.
Iowa casinos offer a great amount of tax income to the state of Iowa, which has allowed the budgeting of a lot of state wide activities. Tourism has increased at a fast rate along with the request for services and an increase in working people. Iowa casinos have contributed to the growth of the market, and the excitement for gaming in Iowa is across the board.
